The 52nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Coal India Limited was held through video conferencing. Chairman Shri B. Sairam; Director (Marketing/HR) Shri Mukesh Choudhary; Director (Finance) Shri Mukesh Agrawal; Director (Technical) Shri Achyut Ghatak; Director (Business Development) Shri Asheesh Kumar; and the Independent Directors participated in the meeting. Smt. Rupinder Brar, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal, and Shri Ashim Kumar Modi, JS & FA, Ministry of Coal, joined the AGM virtually from New Delhi.

Chairman,Shri B. Sairam addressed the shareholders and highlighted Coal India’s physical and financial performance, key milestones achieved during 2025–26, and the company's continued contribution to India’s energy security.

The shareholders participated virtually and interacted with the Board during the AGM. Responding to the questions raised, CIL Chairman Shri B. Sairam reaffirmed Coal India's unwavering commitment to India’s growth story with a clear focus on strengthening production, evacuation capacity, expanding our footprint in renewable energy and coal gasification, and maintaining financial discipline.

Preparations for India Mining Week 2026 continue to gather pace, with focused discussions and coordination across key committees.

A meeting of the 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 & 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞, 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐣 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐆𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐲𝐚, 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲, 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐥, was convened 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝟐𝟖 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, in hybrid mode, to review the progress of key workstreams and deliberate on the way forward.

The discussions focused on strengthening the conference programme, refining thematic priorities and enhancing industry participation to build a cohesive platform for knowledge exchange, innovation and collaboration.

Scheduled from 𝟏𝟓–𝟏𝟕 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐚𝐭 𝐘𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐛𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐢 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞, 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐡𝐢, 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, technology providers and other stakeholders to shape meaningful conversations around the future of the mining sector.

NCL organised a one-day training session on “Public Procurement – Preference to Make in India, GeM – New Features & Functionalities and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)” at MDI, CETI, Singrauli on Monday.

The programme was organised under the Capacity Building Programme, in accordance with CVC directives, and as part of the ‘Marathon Training Programme 3.0’ under Mission-CIL@2026, aimed at strengthening the knowledge and competencies of employees in key areas of public procurement.

During the session, General Manager (IE), Shri Manoj Kumar Singh, shared valuable insights with the participants on various aspects of public procurement. The Public Procurement (Preference to Make in India) Order, 2017, along with amendments up to 2024, was discussed in detail.

The participants were also apprised of the new features and functionalities introduced on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) since its launch in 2016, along with issues and challenges commonly encountered during the tendering process.

The session further covered the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) framework, beginning with the MSME Development Act, 2006, and extending to the latest MSME Development (Amendment) Act, 2026, for which the Gazette notification was issued on 13 August 2026. The revisions and modifications made to MSME-related orders during the intervening period were also discussed.

The Program was organised by Vigilance Department, NCL and around 55 participants from all Areas and Units of NCL attended the training programme.

सोमवार को एनसीएल से अगस्त माह के अंत में 6 अधिकारी और 25 कर्मचारी सहित कुल 31 कर्मी सेवानिवृत्त हुए। इस अवसर पर एनसीएल मुख्यालय में सेवानिवृत्त कर्मियों के सम्मान में अभिनंदन समारोह का आयोजन किया गया। मुख्यालय से महाप्रबंधक (सामग्री प्रबंधन), श्री ज्ञानेश्वर नाथ, महाप्रबंधक (उत्खनन), श्री शुभाशीष राय और सहायक पर्यवेक्षक, परिवहन (लाइट व्हीकल विभाग), श्री नागेश्वर रजक सेवानिवृत्त हुए।

अभिनंदन समारोह के दौरान एनसीएल निदेशक (तकनीकी), श्री आशुतोष द्विवेदी, मुख्यालय से महाप्रबंधक एवँ विभागाध्यक्षगण, अधिकारी, कर्मचारी तथा सेवानिवृत कर्मियों के परिजन उपस्थित रहे।

इस दौरान अपने उद्बोधन में निदेशक (तकनीकी), श्री आशुतोष द्विवेदी ने सेवानिवृत्त कर्मियों के योगदान की सराहना की। उन्होने सेवानिवृत्त हो रहे कर्मियों की विदाई को कंपनी के लिए एक अपूर्णीय क्षति बताया और उनके सुखद एवं स्वस्थ भविष्य की मंगल कामना की।

विदाई के इस भावुक क्षण में सेवानिवृत्त कर्मियों ने भी अपने सेवाकाल के अनुभव साझा किए। उन्होंने एनसीएल और कोल इंडिया परिवार के प्रति आभार जताया एवं कंपनी की उत्तरोत्तर प्रगति और उज्ज्वल भविष्य की कामना की।

एनसीएल की विभिन्न परियोजनाओं एवं इकाइयों में भी सेवानिवृत्त होने वाले कर्मियों के सम्मान में विदाई एवं अभिनंदन समारोह आयोजित किए गए।

एनसीएल द्वारा गत शनिवार को राष्ट्रीय खेल दिवस के अवसर पर अंतरक्षेत्रीय क्रॉस कंट्री रेस का आयोजन किया गया। एनसीएल झिंगुरदा परियोजना में आयोजित इस प्रतिस्पर्धा में कंपनी की सभी परियोजना एवं इकाइयों से महिला एवं पुरुष प्रतिभागियों ने भाग लिया।

क्रॉस कंट्री रेस के अंतर्गत पुरुष प्रतिभागियों द्वारा 8 किमी एवं महिला प्रतिभागियों द्वारा 2.5 किमी की दूरी तय की गयी। व्यक्तिगत प्रतियोगिता में पुरुष वर्ग में जयंत क्षेत्र से श्री जगत कुमार वैश्य ने पहला, श्री सतीश कुमार ने दूसरा और अमलोरी से श्री यू. पी. सिंह ने तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया । वहीं महिला वर्ग में एनएससी से मीना कुमारी ने प्रथम, हेमलता कुमारी ने दूसरा और सीता साहू ने तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया। इसी के साथ ग्रुप चैंपियनशिप में पुरुष वर्ग में क्रमश: जयंत क्षेत्र प्रथम एवं निगाही क्षेत्र द्वितीय स्थान पर रहा एवं महिला वर्ग में नेहरु शताब्दी चिकित्सालय प्रथम एवं बीना क्षेत्र द्वितीय स्थान पर रहा। क्रॉस कंट्री रेस में भाग लेने वाले प्रतिभागियों को ट्राफी एवं प्रमाण पत्र प्रदान किये गए।

प्रतियोगिता के दौरान महाप्रबंधक (मानव संसाधन), श्री राजेश त्रिवेदी, क्षेत्रीय महाप्रबंधक (झिंगुरदा), श्री असीम कुमार बाग़, कंपनी जेसीसी सदस्य – सीएमएस से श्री अजय कुमार, बीएमएस से श्री अशोक मिश्रा, आरसीएसएस से श्री लाल पुष्पराज सिंह, एचएमएस से श्री अशोक पांडे, सीएमओएआई प्रतिनिधि, श्री सर्वेश कुमार सिंह, एनसीएल स्पोर्ट्स प्रमोशन बोर्ड मेंबर्स, झिंगुरदा परियोजना से विभागाध्यक्ष, श्रमिक संघ प्रतिनिधि एवं अन्य अधिकारी व कर्मचारी उपस्थित रहे।

एनसीएल अंतर क्षेत्रीय कैरम प्रतियोगिता 2026-27 गत गुरुवार को केंद्रीय कर्मशाला (सीडब्ल्यूएस) में सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न हुई।

25 से 27 अगस्त, 2026 तक आयोजित यह प्रतियोगिता सिंगल्स, डबल्स एवँ टीम चैंपियनशिप के आधार पर खेली गई जिसमें एनसीएल के 13 क्षेत्रों और इकाइयों से 65 प्रतिभागियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक हिस्सा लिया।

समापन समारोह में महाप्रबंधक (मानव संसाधन), श्री राजेश त्रिवेदी बतौर मुख्य अतिथि उपस्थित रहे। अपने उद्बोधन में उन्होंने विजेता खिलाड़ियों के उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन की सराहना की तथा खेलों को कार्यस्थल पर स्वस्थ वातावरण, टीम भावना और सकारात्मक ऊर्जा को बढ़ावा देने हेतु महत्वपूर्ण माध्यम बताया।

इस अवसर पर कंपनी जेसीसी सदस्य, एनसीएल स्पोर्ट्स प्रमोशन बोर्ड मेंबर्स, परियोजना जेसीसी सदस्य तथा अन्य अधिकारी व कर्मचारीगण उपस्थित रहे।

इस दौरान टीम चैंपियनशिप में ककरी परियोजना ने विजेता तथा जयंत परियोजना ने उप-विजेता खिताब अपने नाम किया। साथ ही सिंगल्स प्रतिस्पर्धा में श्री पंकज साहू (जयंत) प्रथम और श्री धीरज कुमार वर्मा (ककरी) द्वितीय रहे. वहीं डबल्स प्रतिस्पर्धा में ककरी के श्री राज कुमार व श्री धीरज कुमार वर्मा ने पहला और मुख्यालय से श्री विक्की कुर्मी व श्री एन. गणेश राव दूसरे स्थान पर रहे।
