Afternoon meetings are underway for the NCSA advocacy team, beginning with Congressman Mike Flood's office. Great discussions, and we even squeezed in some sightseeing between meetings!
The Russell Senate Building is the first stop of the day. Chair Dr. Chip Kay opened our meeting with Senator Ricketts office and legislative correspondent Nick Natz.
Discussions included E-Rate, Special Education Title funding and student access to school meals. #NCSAOnTheHill26
The NCSA advocacy team is ready for a day on Capitol Hill. Before meeting with Nebraska’s delegation, the group is receiving a briefing from NCSA’s federal liaison & founder of Foresight Law+Policy Reg Leichty.

Petersen reported yesterday, and will soon board a helicopter headed towards a rappel tower in nearby Mead.

The Wood River Talent Show is being emceed by Leader in Me student leadership. Some awesome talent on display in the packed theater, but the leadership & support/enthusiasm from older students is as impressive.
“It started as something we were doing. Now it’s just what we do.”
Our end of the year tour continues today in Wood River. It’s the last day of school for the Eagles, whose District Fun Day begins with a Talent Show!
Wood River recently received Lighthouse Status in the Franklin Covey Leader in Me program.
