Kgosi Malekutu Mampuru IV of the BaPedi ba Mamone Traditional Authority welcomed the Minister of Social Development, Ms Nokuzola Sisisi Tolashe, Limpopo MEC for Social Development Ms Florence Radzilani, SASSA CEO Mr Themba Matlou, and DSD Director-General Mr Peter Netshipale to Mamone Village ahead of the ICROP outreach.

Through the National Development Agency (NDA), the Department of Social Development continues to invest in sustainable community livelihoods in Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality, Sekhukhune District, where the Ministerial ICROP outreach is currently taking place.
The Dinalafase Primary Agricultural Co-operative in Marulaneng Village received critical support to strengthen poultry production and crop farming, empowering seven women cooperative members and contributing to local food security and economic participation.

Minister of Social Development, Ms Sisisi Tolashe, touches down in Mamone, Limpopo tomorrow to lead an impactful Ministerial Outreach Programme aimed at bringing social security services closer to the people.
Did you know that in Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality, more than 169,000 social grants are paid every month, injecting over R169 million into the local economy?
The grants are distributed as follows:
• 121,083 Child Support grants supporting children
• 33,608 Older Persons grants assisting senior citizens
• 6,756 Disability grants supporting persons living with disabilities
• 4,918 Grant-in-Aid beneficiaries receiving additional care support
• 1,409 Foster Child grants supporting children in foster care
