That’s why NDNA’s #100Daysfor100Families campaign matters — standing up for choice, flexibility and the right of families to access childcare that meets their needs.

Who gets to decide what works best for families — families themselves, or the council?
In the Central Belt, parents are being told by councils where their children can go, whether siblings can stay together, and what childcare choices are “allowed” to work around family life.
That isn’t flexibility — and it isn’t choice.
NDNA’s West Lothian Network Chair, Andrew Carr, shares a powerful deputation ahead of the decision in West Lothian. Despite this, the council didn’t listen.
That’s why we’ve launched #100Daysfor100Families — to make sure this commitment leads to real change for the families at risk of losing the childcare they know and trust because of council boundary decisions.

This video sets out the power government has to make a real difference to families’ lives.
Now we have both a campaign and a commitment in Parliament. The task is to turn that commitment into action.
So over the next 100 days, we’ll keep pushing for action and accountability. Look out for ways to get involved, raise your voice and support the campaign in the weeks ahead.

✨A win in Scottish Parliament has opened the door ✨
We have launched 100 Days for 100 Families to make sure change follows.
A recent debate secured important backing for action on cross-border childcare places.
We’re building on that momentum with a campaign focused on one clear message: this must not stop at Parliament.
🚨More than 100 families are still facing the loss of their childcare because of council boundary decisions. 🚨
