Yesterday, @GordJohns and I concluded our tour of Courtenay-Alberni by sitting down with Fridays for Future Qualicum!
These inspiring young leaders shared with us their work and vision for a better climate-friendly future.
Thank you for the great conversation!
Our public health care system is under attack.
But one with conversation at a time, we can build a powerful campaign to protect it.
Join New Democrats on Sunday, January 29th to keep up the fight!

Yesterday's decision to allow the Rogers and Shaw merger to proceed is bad news for Canadian families.
It will lead to:
-less competition
-a bigger monopoly
-higher prices for people
It's not too late. We must force the Liberals to stop the merger.

Universal public health care is under attack by Conservative premiers who want to turn health care into a for-profit business. Take a stand in support of public healthcare and add your name!

Great tour at the @HumaneSocietyLM .
I was so excited to learn more about the new facility that will be on Dundas.
A big thank you to the incredible staff, volunteers and donors who work tirelessly to ensure that many animals are provided shelter.
Our healthcare system is under attack, and we have to do something about it.
We're starting a phone campaign for health care, and we need you.
Join us on Sunday, January 29th to help protect our public health care system!

Yesterday while touring CFB Comox, I thanked our troops for their service.
Especially for their help in flood evacuations in the Comox Valley last fall.
Like all workers, our troops deserve to have the tools to do their job safely and access to affordable housing.
Conservative premiers are using the healthcare crisis as an excuse for privatization. This means line-skipping for the rich, a drain on workers in the public system & longer wait times for everyone else.
Let's defend our public healthcare system!

In 2015, Justin Trudeau said all long-term boil-water advisories would end by March 2021.
Now, they hope to lift all advisories by 2025.
The Liberals keep stalling.
Meanwhile, we have:
33 long-term boil water advisories.
31 short-term drinking water advisories.
It's wrong.
I am extremely saddened by the news of the mass shooting in Monterey Park yesterday, where thousands had gathered to celebrate the Lunar New Year
I'm sending my condolences to the friends & families of the victims
And to the Monterey Park community who is grieving this tragedy
Happy Lunar New Year!
新年快樂!
Chúc Mừng Năm Mới!
새해 복 많이 받으세요!
On behalf of Gurkiran, Anhad, and I, I'd like to extend our warmest wishes to all celebrating Lunar New Year!
We wish you a joyful, healthy, and prosperous New Year of the rabbit!
For you, your loved ones, and their care.
We're in the fight of our lifetimes.
Conservatives who want American-style health care have begun privatizing health care and Justin Trudeau is doing nothing to stop them.
It's now or never, we need to stand together and fightback.
Universal, public health care saves lives.
And New Democrats will always defend it from Conservative attempts to introduce US-style privatization.

A bag of 🍎's used to cost $4.99 then $5.99 and now $6.99.
Grocery CEOs are doing everything to stack their profits.
And every time I force a vote to make CEOs pay back what they owe, Liberals and Conservatives vote no.
But I promise, I won't stop fighting for you.
Profit-driven health care is dangerous. Full-stop.
And as Doug Ford cannibalizes the system, Justin Trudeau twiddles his thumbs.
I'm going to fightback.
In 2023, food bank usage is expected to increase by 60%.
Why? Corporate Greed.
Where's Justin Trudeau? Protecting Corporate profits.
You CAN'T trust Liberals/Conservatives that rigged this system to fix it.
You CAN count on the NDP to take on CEOs and their friends in Ottawa.
Why are you paying more and getting less?
Why are corporate profits up and wages down?
Why are you working harder but falling behind?
Because Liberals/Conservatives have rigged the system
When I'm Prime Minister that changes
You'll get respect and CEOs will pay what they owe
For years, Liberal and Conservative governments have underfunded healthcare.
Now, as Conservative premiers push for privatization.
Justin Trudeau refuses to act. Canadians deserve immediate action.
While Pierre Poilievre pretends to be mad at the cost of living, he only listens to the people who can afford to buy an hour or two with him for $1,700.
Unlike the Liberals/Conservatives, New Democrats aren’t working for the highest bidder, we’re working for you and your family.
