@purplepaulay @DPS_ImprovServ Therefore, smartphone technology is not yet a suitable option for a National Entitlement Card. It is regularly evaluated if this can be an option for NEC in future. (2/2)

[National Entitlement Card @necscotland]

@purplepaulay @DPS_ImprovServ National Concessionary Travel Schemes (NCTSs) use a system (called ITSO) that is accepted by all bus operators but is not yet compatible with all smartphones unfortunately. There is not currently an app-based digital identification service, which an NCTS app would need.

[National Entitlement Card @necscotland]

@ManAndDog64 We wouldn’t be able to advise on the ScotRail app unfortunately. You can visit the ScotRail website at the following link, where you will find their FAQs and details to get in touch: https://t.co/UDkMOEPYg6

Do you know a young person who travels by ferry? ⛴️

Make sure they know concessionary ferry vouchers are going digital!

If they live in #Orkney or #Shetland, they'll need to add vouchers to their Young Scot National Entitlement Card!
