NFIB is a member-driven organization advocating for small and independent businesses in Washington, D.C. & all 50 states. We are the voice of small business.
Our small businesses are the backbone of the American economy. Their entrepreneurial spirit is what drives America towards a better future. I appreciated meeting with @NFIB members to discuss how government and private resources can come together to win for the American people.
I was happy to host small business owners from NFIB to discuss issues affecting businesses across Ohio.
Hearing directly from job creators helps ensure their concerns are part of the conversation as Congress considers policies that affect their ability to grow and succeed.
Thank you to Shad from Windham and other members of the National Federation of Independent Business for meeting with me to discuss the challenges small businesses are facing across our state. As the author of the Paycheck Protection Program, which supported 250,000 jobs in Maine, I know how vital small businesses are to our communities and local economies, and I appreciate NFIB’s work to ensure their voices are heard.
Enjoyed speaking with National Federation of Independent Business members about my Credit Card Competition Act.
By restoring competition in the credit card market, this bill would help lower swipe fees that cost the average American family more than $2,200 each year.

This morning, I joined members of @NFIB for their Annual Fly-In to discuss the issues that matter most to our small, Main Street businesses. As a member of @HouseSmallBiz and a member of NFIB myself, I appreciated the opportunity to share my experiences as a business owner and how it shapes my work in Congress.
Today, @SecScottBessent hosted @NFIB and small business owners to hear their perspectives on the strength of America’s Main Street economy and the tax relief delivered this past tax filing season.
Participants shared how @POTUS' Working Families @TaxCuts and pro-growth tax policies are delivering benefits for both workers and local job creators.
