The progress made in the Labour Court is a vindication of our members’ decision to take industrial action in pursuit of recognition and pay justice, and again shows what can be achieved through collective action and strong union organisation.

We established the trade union movement's first dedicated community campaigning arm 'Unite for a Workers' Economy'. Since its launch, community and retired members have delivered landmark campaigns, like defending the winter fuel payment resulting in a govt u-turn. #FightForYou
The problem with privatised water 💧
Around 90% of the world’s water is publicly owned - but England and Wales still run on a failed privatised system.
For too long, water companies have been aloud to extract cash from a public necessity, all while putting profits before people and public health.
The result? Polluted waterways, high bills and a system that isn’t working.
It’s time to end this failed experiment and bring England’s water back into public hands.

After I was elected, we established Unite's first ever equalities development centres, putting equalities at the heart of our industrial strategy. #FgthingForYou#LetsContinueTheChange
@SimonDubbins67 As has been widely reported by the Union, our accounts were delayed because tens of millions of pounds had to be “written down” due to the alleged corruption/financial wrongdoing under the previous leadership.
That required a new, audit of all our accounts related to that period
Unite’s general secretary Sharon Graham and our new Executive Council announced a bold set of measures to better equip our reps for the battles to come:
🔴 Bringing our activists’ training back in -house
🔴 Bits-sized online training for reps
🔴 Expanded reps’ digital toolkit
🔴 Fully resourced Industrial Combines for each Sector

Almost five years ago, together we began to change our Union.
We took our Union 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 - back to our reps and members.
We uncovered the truth around the wrongdoing and alleged fraud surrounding the Birmingham hotel and conference centre.
And we have redefined our relationship with Labour. 𝐍𝐨 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬.
And together we have delivered hundreds of millions of pounds back into the pockets of members from successful disputes alone.
Profiteers exposed.
Cash to politicians cut.
Winter fuel campaign won.
Billions secured for steel.
Government contracts won for British aerospace.
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐤𝐞𝐩𝐭.
We are only just beginning.
𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞-𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. 𝐓𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫.
To continue to win. To deliver on 𝐉𝐨𝐛𝐬. 𝐏𝐚𝐲. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.
Workers will always be my priority.
𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮.
Solidarity, Sharon ✊
