Diinsoor district in Southwest State of Somalia inaugurated a new sports facility constructed under the @EU_in_Somalia-funded SLS Program. The stadium was unveiled by the Interim Leader of SWS & @MOFASomalia Minister @AbdisalamDhaay, and is expected to strengthen social cohesion.

A friendly football match held at the newly constructed @EU_in_Somalia-funded stadium in #Raskamboni on 15 May 2026 saw the local team secure a 1-0 victory over a #Kenyan side from Lamu, promoting sportsmanship, cross-border youth engagement and positive community interaction.

The Dhabarmamac water dam is now at full capacity following the gu’ rains, storing about 44.16 million liters of water—enough to support 204 thousand people for 60 days during the dry season. The project was funded by @NorwayinSomalia in partnership w/ the Somaliland authorities.
