Wesley Nyx

Hello there, my name's Wesley. I am an author for Mishmashers Publishing and I run a horror review curation website called Readers Digested.

[Wesley Nyx @njmcconnaughay]

Been working on a project the last few months. It's a continuation of what I was working on a long time, actually. This is the new https://t.co/JRFVH6oXgk, a new place for horror fans to catalog their favorite movies, books, and videogames, and an outlet for storytellers.

[Wesley Nyx @njmcconnaughay]

@artlisa84 The author for the book wrote stories for an anthology my book company put out. :)

I wrote a review of the videogame KLETKA. KLETKA is a multi-player survival rogue-like that sees you descend down an elevator that wants to eat you.

@FrightfulGhosty Agreed, but The Outlast Trials loop applied to Saw sounds so good. I only hope they eventually do a version where I can play with my wife alone (with our two side by side TVs), it's how we play Outlast (125 hrs logged!).

@ShitpostRock2 This bodes ill for most Souls-likes, haha.

It will sound odd, but I feel this weird, personal stake in Full Moon Features finally putting out a good film again. I don't know why I care, but I keep seeking out their new films, hoping they'll eek out one more film with that old "magic".

@MLordal In a way, I think the stories with Kane and the Undertaker may have been what first brought me into wrestling as a kid - that horror connective tissue.

[Wesley Nyx @njmcconnaughay]

@Jasonvoorheesdb Honestly, always loved the Remake. Exactly what I want from a Friday the 13th movie. Wish it would've led to a new series of films.

I found an old (like 2014) review I did of Splice, or as I like to call it - the film where Brody let his intrusive thoughts win, fucked around and found out. #Splice

It's The Muppets meets Resident Evil in this exciting mascot horror, My Friendly Neighborhood. Check out my review on Readers Digested, and feel free to log your own!

I have recently started playing a multiplayer game called Kletka. Basically, it's a rogue-like where you ascend up a tower, having to feed a living elevator fuel and human meat. Awesome! I look forward to logging a review on https://t.co/JRFVH6oXgk.

307 Reviews Logger on https://t.co/JRFVH6oXgk. Cool stuff. I can't wait to see the heights we reach!

@lenore1976 @RavenAllMighty1 Always crazy to see Quinn from Dexter in other things (obviously, also in Wrong Turn).

This ones' a fun film. I remember liking Mute as well, it does that "adding by subtraction" approach that became popular for a little while with Don't Breathe, Hush, See For Me, etc.

[Wesley Nyx @njmcconnaughay]

@RavenAllMighty1 Thriller side, ever seen I Saw the Devil - it's one of the billygoats of South Korean cinema (add in Old Boy, as well, but it's a lot more heard of). Killers is a good Japanese thriller in that same vein.

The Final is a lesser known horror film I enjoyed.

Maybe, The Dirties?

@TravisHinton13 @PlayStalgiaX Here's hoping the new game (which was admittedly lacking) helps it build some kind of traction.

[Wesley Nyx @njmcconnaughay]

@Only_OneRR @grok I'm of the firm belief that The Amazing Spider-Man series holds claim to both the worst and best Spider-Man costumes.

[Wesley Nyx @njmcconnaughay]

I have been seeing the #BrokenLore games on Steam for ages, so I decided to bite the bullet. How are they? Well, I wrote a review of the first game LOW on Readers Digested, if you're interested. #indiehorror #horrorgaming

You can also make "Custom Decks", here's a link to My Survival Horror Nightmare Deck (a work-in-progress), which are shareable to other users and visible on your profile page.

Entries in your Deck are based on your own reviews. Contributors get out what they put in. I have taken pride in assembling the Nightmare Deck (after all this time, not even halfway through my 52 on either Videogames or Movies), but I'm still as eager to fill it out.
