Substitute and former Lionel Messi teammate Ferran Torres netted his first and only goal of the 2026 World Cup in the 106th minute of the match to secure the final for La Roja.

Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernández’s red card at the end of regulation meant his team were forced to play extra time down a player.
