This National Doctors’ Day, NOTTO celebrates the healing hands that made history possible.

In a landmark achievement , the team at Government Osmania General Hospital & Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad successfully performed a rare five-organ (multivisceral) transplant involving the stomach, duodenum, pancreas, small intestine and right colon on a 30-year-old patient after a remarkable 36-hour long surgery.

This is the first multi-visceral transplant involving 5 organs, performed in an Indian government hospital and the first in India for a patient with Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP).

NOTTO applauds the exceptional dedication and expertise of the multidisciplinary transplant team, and salutes the organ donor and donor family whose selfless gift made this life-saving milestone possible. Together, they have given hope, renewed life, and strengthened India’s organ transplantation ecosystem.

देवसंस्कृति विवि, हरिद्वार में ‘दधीचि अंगदान संकल्प अभियान’; हजारों लोगों ने लिया अंगदान का संकल्प।

27 जून 2026 को अखिल विश्व गायत्री परिवार द्वारा देव संस्कृति विश्वविद्यालय, शांतिकुंज, हरिद्वार में ‘दधीचि अंगदान संकल्प अभियान’ के अंतर्गत राष्ट्रीय संगोष्ठी का आयोजन किया गया।

कार्यक्रम में श्री जगत प्रकाश नड्डा, माननीय केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्री, श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी (माननीय मुख्यमंत्री, उत्तराखण्ड), डॉ. चिन्मय पण्ड्या, श्री मदन कौशिक, स्वामी दयामृतानन्द, डॉ. अनिल कुमार, डॉ. अरविंद कुमार एवं डॉ. विजय धस्माना सहित अनेक गणमान्य अतिथि उपस्थित रहे।

इस अवसर पर नड्डा जी ने अंगदान को मानव सेवा का सर्वोच्च कार्य बताते हुए इसे जन-जागरूकता और जनभागीदारी के माध्यम से राष्ट्रव्यापी जन आंदोलन बनाने का आह्वान किया।

हजारों प्रतिभागियों ने अंगदान का संकल्प लेकर इस जीवनदायी अभियान के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त की।
