"Our citizens are not looking for policies and plans alone; they are looking for quality schools, functional health facilities, better infrastructure, jobs, increased household incomes and accountable leadership."- Lucy Nakyobe
This afternoon, I had a wonderful interaction with the Appointments Committee of Parliament, an experience that has further strengthened my commitment to not only do my best, but to do whatever it takes to meet the expectations of the people of Uganda.
I am deeply grateful to the Committee for its approval and the confidence it has placed in me. As I prepare to take the oath of office, I pledge to faithfully uphold it and to serve with dedication, integrity, and unwavering commitment to our nation.
I look forward to contributing my utmost to the development and progress of Uganda.

My family and I express our deepest gratitude for the love, support, and guidance that the @NRMOnline family has accorded my political journey. Even in the toughest times, I have never felt alone.
Special thanks to @KagutaMuseveni for the inspiration and strategic guidance.
I have received my brother, H.E. Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan, at State House Entebbe together with his delegation, ahead of the swearing-in ceremony tomorrow.
I warmly welcome him and wish him a fruitful stay as we continue to strengthen the historic brotherly ties and cooperation between our two countries.
At State House Entebbe, I met Mr. Nick Checker, the Senior Bureau Official in the U.S. Department of Stateโs Bureau of African Affairs, who is representing President Donald Trump at tomorrowโs swearing-in ceremony, together with his delegation.
I emphasized the need for value addition and industrialisation across Africa. We cannot continue exporting raw materials such as coffee, oil and minerals without processing them. Value addition is crucial for expanding Africaโs GDP, creating jobs and increasing the purchasing power of our people.
I welcome him to Uganda and wish him a fruitful stay.
In my third meeting at Entebbe, I received my brother, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who has joined us for tomorrowโs swearing-in ceremony.
I appreciate his visit and the spirit of brotherhood and cooperation that continues to strengthen the relations between Uganda and Somalia . I warmly welcome him to Uganda and wish him a fruitful stay.

Speaking to the media today, I emphasized that ideological clarity and unity are essential. We are elected to serve everyone, not just those who share our views. It is necessary to shift from attacking opponents to embracing diverse perspectives. I call for progress and unity, urging us all to look beyond our differences.
Back at the retreat in Kyanwanzi, @EchoduOfficial struck a reflective yet forward-looking tone while addressing the media. He underscored that ideological clarity must anchor the partyโs direction, but emphasized that unity is non-negotiable.
โWe are leaders for all, not a select few who echo our beliefs,โ he noted, signaling a deliberate pivot away from combative politics toward a more inclusive, listening approach. Echodu hinted at a renewed mindset one that trades hostility for dialogue and embraces the richness of differing views within the fold"
