@jimstewartson the pattern is: sociopaths with power/platform trigger tribalism with fearmongering & misinformation to gain power and mobilize the crowd. Made extremely easy by modern social media echo chamber algorithms.
I asked Senate Republicans who among them thought Trump’s slush fund was a good idea. None replied and silence filled the chamber.
I then offered Republicans a chance to shut it down by voting for my amendment.
They chose not to. They are simply too scared of crossing this corrupt president.
Republicans, before you post about it.
Florida and California take the same amount of time to tally their votes.
Florida just starts 3 weeks before the polls close while California waits for the polls to close and then Tallies their votes.
Same two to four week time frame!
The Trump administration has placed me on a list of "media offenders" and is now targeting me for constitutionally protected media work. This is no longer theoretically something that will happen in the future.
The premise that California has "no voter verification" is simply false.
California verifies identity and residence at registration. If records cannot be verified, additional documentation may be required. If there is a question about eligibility at the polls, the voter can be given a provisional ballot that is investigated before being counted.
The debate is not whether voters are verified. The debate is when and how verification occurs.
What is also striking is that critics often speak as though voter fraud is rampant, yet actual prosecutions and documented cases remain extraordinarily rare. In a state with millions of votes cast, the number of proven fraudulent ballots is tiny.
Every system can be improved. Banks, Social Security, Medicare, and elections all experience fraud attempts. The relevant question is not whether fraud is theoretically possible, but how often it actually occurs.
To date, the evidence suggests voter fraud is considerably rarer than most forms of financial fraud Americans encounter every day.
Donald Trump fell asleep multiple times in the Oval Office today. AGAIN.
That’s why I’ve called for the 25th Amendment, and dozens of my colleagues have done the same. Donald Trump is unwell and must be removed from office. It’s a national security crisis.
Trump did this.
He pardoned January 6 rioters, then tried to hand them a $1.8 BILLION taxpayer-funded slush fund as a reward.
Now we’re learning that some pardon recipients have since faced charges involving sex crimes, domestic violence, assault, DUIs, illegal firearms, and other offenses.
The whole thing felt less like compensation and more like an attempt to financially reward and strengthen the militia that attacked the Capitol.
Huge amount of mail ballots returned on Election Day.
Millions.
Election workers can't tabulate those immediately.
They must first scan the ballot envelope to make sure the voter hasn't already voter in person.
Then they have to assess the signature on the ballot envelope to make sure consistent with the voter's past signatures (to confirm identity).
Then they have to remove ballot from envelope, make sure it's not torn or otherwise damaged, and then flatten it.
Then they can tabulate it.
Then they have to adjudicate any stray pen marks, overvotes, or write-ins.
They they can report results.
And they have to document all of this.
Hope this helps!
Thx!

Dear @SecretaryWright: Some deep questions for your deep thoughts:
-Did you know the sun still shines during winter?
-Did you know that solar panels rely on sunlight rather than warmth?
In fact, solar panels can operate even more efficiently during the winter.
Didn’t Americans vote for Trump because they wanted lower gas prices, lower grocery prices, no new wars, and a full release of the Epstein files?
How is that going????
