A new report from the Center for New York City Affairs at The New School affirms what we already knew: that corporations and the ultra rich are taking more from our economy than ever. Working people create more wealth, but our wages stay stagnant. New York must tax the rich.
Cornell failed to protect Jane Doe, and it has failed to get her justice. Something is deeply wrong when an elite university comes down harder on students exercising their First Amendment right to protest than on the students who drugged and gang-raped a woman on its campus.
Jane Doe, her family, and every student at Cornell deserve answers on how this happened, and how the school will protect students going forward. A failure this big demands accountability. Administrators who can’t keep women safe on campus have no business leading a university.
The far-right MAGA billionaires said we couldn’t freeze your rent. Thanks to our working class movement we just did. Join DSA to help us defend the pied-à-terre tax and win even more.
3 years since we won the Build Public Renewables Act, New York is one step closer to solar socialism.☀️
This is only the first step. Hochul is pushing more fossil fuels and holding NY back from the public renewables we need. Join @NYCDSA_Ecosoc and fight for public power. ⚡️
Earlier today, I was arrested alongside hundreds of other New Yorkers in a mass civil disobedience outside of UN headquarters. With Netanyahu delivering his racist tirade inside, defending his genocide in Gaza and escalating war on Iran, we made it loud and clear that war criminals are not welcome in our city.
No war criminals in NY.
While the UN welcomed Netanyahu, socialists joined hundreds of NYers in the streets to protest the ongoing genocide in Palestine and demand an end to wars on our dime.
I joined them and put my body on the line because nobody is free until we’re all free.
Our members & electeds proudly protesting the Israeli genocide today during Netanyahu’s address to the UN, joining hundreds to tell our government NO MORE spending billions on bombs & giving war criminals a platform to speak.
As @DarializaforNY says, it’s BABIES NOT BOMBS.
NYC-DSA’s Break the Chain campaign is building a movement to protect people at home and abroad. Together, we have the power to end JFK’s complicity in genocide. Will you join the call for an immediate arms embargo? https://t.co/oHx3ADmCYu
While Netanyahu prepares to renew his call for ethnic cleansing at the UN tomorrow, JFK is shipping out ammunition and explosives to the IOF, putting New Yorkers at risk every day.
This morning we called for an immediate halt to the shipment of military cargo through JFK, safe conditions for workers and passengers, and public transparency regarding all previous shipments of military cargo to Israel via civilian infrastructure.
The largest worker settlement in NYC history: that’s your city on socialism.🌹
When DoorDash ripped off the workers who make their profits, @nycmayor stepped up to fight for what they’re owed. Democratic socialism means dignity for every worker. Our work is just getting started.
I am proud to endorse David Orkin for Assembly District 38. David will be a tireless champion for our affordability agenda in Albany. We’re 46 days out from Election Day; will you help us get out the vote?
Election Day is November 3. Early Voting begins on October 24th and runs through November 1st.

It has been five years since the Less Is More (LIM) Act was signed into law, and it remains one of my proudest legislative accomplishments to have brought more humanity into our supervision system.
Fossil fuel capitalists are waging war on the working class. Climate disaster is the future they’re choosing. We won’t settle for it.
A better world is possible, and we’re building it here in NY. Join public power organizers this Sunday to learn how we’re taking back our power!
