*2025 BATCH B STREAM I CORPS MEMBERS RECEIVE CERTIFICATE OF NATIONAL SERVICE IN SOKOTO* *STATE*
The 2025 Batch B Stream I Corps Members who successfully completed their one-year national service in Sokoto State have received their Certificates of National Service (CNS) at their respective Local Government Areas.
The passing-out exercise was conducted on a low-key scale, with Corps Members collecting their certificates through their Local Government Inspectors (LGIs).
In Sokoto Zone, Corps Members serving in Sokoto South and Wamakko Local Government Areas gathered at the NYSC Secretariat, Kalambaina, where the NYSC Sokoto State Coordinator, Mr. Tyoyer Gabriel Ter, addressed them.
During the event, he made a symbolic presentation of the Certificates of National Service and also presented commendation letters to deserving Corps Members who distinguished themselves through outstanding community service and meaningful contributions to the lives of the people of the state.
Mr. Gabriel congratulated the Corps Members on the successful completion of their national service and urged them to uphold the core values of the National Youth Service Corps, including honesty, dedication, discipline, self-reliance, hard work, transparency, and accountability.
The State Coordinator also encouraged the outgoing Corps Members not to neglect the vocational skills acquired through the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme, emphasizing that the skills would equip them to become self-reliant and successful entrepreneurs.
He further commended Corps Members who executed Community Development Service (CDS) projects, either individually or as groups, in their respective host communities, noting that their contributions were highly commendable and greatly appreciated.
As he bid them farewell from the state, Ter cautioned them against embarking on night journeys. He advised them to stop and spend the night whenever it was 6:00 p.m., staying at any NYSC lodge, military barracks, police station, or the residence of a community leader to ensure their safety.
I almost didn’t post this because my POP was March 31st 😂🤭
Life has been happening, and I’ve been engaged with a lot of things since then, but this is a testimony worth sharing.
Better late than never, right?
