@kylegriffin1 there's a scene in "american gangster" where det. richie roberts props up a dead junkie to look alive so that the angry mob outside his apartment wouldnt riot knowing a dirty cop fatally shot him
@RepJamesClyburn we the people are saying he and his policies were disgusting, particularly against the lgb+ cmty
and dem lawmakers are eulogizing him as if the ppl he hurt dont matter
he wasnt a good person
ignoring that makes it seem like you're all against us
I am on the West Coast and just woke up to the news. I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Senator Lindsey Graham.
Lindsey and I had our share of political disagreements, and those differences were often significant. But today is not a day for politics. It is a day to recognize a life of public service and to extend our prayers to those who loved him.
For more than three decades, Lindsey served the people of South Carolina, first in the House of Representatives and then in the United States Senate. He approached that service with conviction and an unmistakable love for our state.
On a personal level, I always appreciated that even in our fiercest political battles, we could still share a conversation, a laugh, and a mutual respect for South Carolina and the institutions we were both privileged to serve.
Marie and I are keeping his family, friends, staff, and everyone mourning his loss in our thoughts and prayers. May he rest in peace.
