🖋️🖋️🖋️ New post on the @SRHE73 blog from Simon Benham-Clarke and me about our recent study with care-experienced (#cep) academics - focuses on issues of precarity, belonging and authentic identities in #HigherEducation.
Should we stop using the word #stakeholder in #participatory#engagement research & practice?
Our paper critically examines the limitations of "stakeholder" and its ambiguity, normativity, potential for (further) exclusion & marginalisation.

DfE has raised the "strategic priorities grant" for universities by... £2m. That's a huge real terms cut, and it's added a bunch of strings to it too. One them is the famous "magic money twig" student premium fund - up by £5m, and so another big real terms cut in the middle of a cost of living crisis. https://t.co/uj3WA6yBfv
My thoughts in @Wonkhe on the future of #uniconnect. 👇
What is at stake is not just whether the programme is funded - which it absolutely should be - but how it helps to deliver social justice (and how we define social justice in the first place)
NEW on Wonkhe: Alex Blower laments the closure of a charity dedicated to supporting and amplifying the voices of estranged students.
