What makes this situation funny is that Cristiano has already achieved his dream. He became a global superstar, broke records, won the Champions League multiple times, and built a legacy that most players would sacrifice everything to have. But because Messi has accomplished so much, it seems the conversation can never end for him. There is always another title he needs people to give him.

My friend, you cannot force respect. If people don’t agree with your opinion, shouting it louder will not change their minds. Sometimes, you are not helping your own legacy. You are making people laugh at a debate that should be about celebrating your career.

And please, don’t tell me everybody hates Cristiano. Nobody is saying he is a bad footballer. Nobody can erase his achievements. But why is there always controversy surrounding his relationships with coaches, teammates, and dressing rooms before he leaves a club? At some point, you have to stop pointing fingers at everybody else and ask yourself a question.

Maybe the problem is not always the people around you.

Cristiano is one of the greatest footballers ever. That is not even a discussion. But being one of the greatest and being the greatest are two different conversations.

Messi doesn’t need to announce himself every week. His career has already made the argument.
