@Big12_Parscal You don't think this happens all the time? It's fundraising, not espionage. As long as donor confidentiality is respected and contracted goals are met, there is literally no conflict. There are plenty of things to worry about, this is not one of them.
@Big12_Parscal That isn't really how it works. Why is this an issue, but a DB coach speaking about their schemes at a coaching clinic not a problem? Both are perfectly fine.
@tillery_joe How so? "This is how we run our defense, this what we are looking for pre-snap, etc" at a camp full of your competitors?
"Here is how we built our NLC."
One is directly competing on the field. The other is trying to fund their program. I don't see an issue with either.
@1800collegeave You have no idea how he is evaluated (hint-it's pretty easy to set fundraising goals and measure success) but sure can him. Are you going to can every coach that gets paid to speak at a coaching clinic?
@KingJoel_3 Why? If he is hitting his goals, what difference does it make if he consults or tends bar in his off time? How is it any different than a coach being paid to speak at a coaching clinic?
@ThePastRhymes@harambeksu Define distraction? There is a fundraising goal that he is responsible for. I'd wager that he has met or exceeded that goal regularly. How is this different than a coach getting paid to speak at another coach's clinic?
@JamesHowey3@Kcroyals1564221@harambeksu I don't think it's a lack of focus at all. He has metrics and goals. If he meets those. What difference does it make what he does outside of those hours? Coaches get paid to speak ah other coaches clinics all the time.
@harambeksu It's fine and common. COI is only if he is helping another school poach donors from KSU, which would shock me. HR has an outside income form that you file to disclose and everything is above board. No different than a coach getting paid at a summer camp hosted by another school.
