Trump endorsed Paxton just to spite Senate Majority Leader Thune, when Thune refused to break Senate rules at Trump’s instruction.

It was that petty. MAGA in a nutshell: do what Trump says.

Chip Roy and Mayes Middleton have already pledged to use the power of the AG give Trump whatever he wants.

As Texas Attorney General, I’ll answer to the rule of law, not to the declining MAGA movement.

Partisan gerrymandering is disenfranchising voters across the country.

I’ve opposed it all along. I filed legislation to ban mid-decade redistricting, and legislation to create an independent redistricting commission in Texas. I rallied legislators across the nation to stand with Texas Democrats in opposition to the hyper-partisan Republican maps last summer.

As AG, I will not defend maps that violate the law.
