Exactly this time last year, during the Hallelujah Challenge, I left Abuja and returned to my father’s house because life had become overwhelming. I was going through a very difficult season and battling depression.

It was my first time joining the Hallelujah Challenge, and I was so consistent. I didn’t even have any special prayer request in mind. I simply prayed, danced, praised, shouted Hallelujah, and trusted God.

And God came through for me. 🙏🏽

In January 2026, I moved back to Abuja, fully restored and with a renewed sense of hope.

I’m not where I want to be yet, but I am definitely not where I used to be. And for that, I am grateful. ❤️

God truly turned my sorrow into joy through the Hallelujah Challenge. What started with praise became a testimony.

Hallelujah! God has been faithful.

After HC, I secured two top ML roles, became a U.S. National Lab AI Fellow, and separately became 1 of 5 national AI Fellows, with full funding for my final PhD year. I was also retained beyond summer.

Nigerian gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey led tens of thousands of Christians in a worship service at the Yaoundé Omnisport Stadium on Saturday evening.

The event was part of a four-day evangelical crusade dubbed the "Cameroon For Jesus Crusade," championed by Bishop Robinson Fondong and Dr. Elizabeth Fondong. Organisers say hundreds of souls have been saved over the past days of the event.

Among several guest pastors who attended the crusade was popular Nigerian preacher Apostle Arome Osayi, who recently made headlines for a sermon in which he suggested that Nigeria's calling was to preach the gospel and export it to the world, just as China and other countries export technology.

Arome and other pastors, including Zambian Prophet Bernard Nwaka, held teaching and preaching sessions during the crusade, aimed at rekindling faith in Christ among believers.

Attendees were urged to walk in truth and embrace a renewed commitment to their faith.

The event is one of several Christian crusades held in the country yearly to preach Christ and awaken believers in a generation that organisers believe is increasingly drifting from spiritual values.
