This week, Sgt. Maj. of the Army Michael R. Weimer met with @nationalguardMS Soldiers on the National Mall about goals they hope to achieve while in Washington. Every conversation between our JTF-DC team and the community is a chance to reinforce trust.

MEMA and @nationalguardMS continue to supply the impacted counties with supplies. Yesterday, 96,000 bottles of water, 1,152 meals, 14,000 tarps, 976 blankets, and 288 cots were delivered to impacted counties. MSNG Chinook helicopters continue to deliver supplies to impacted counties. More than 119,000 pounds of supplies have been delivered by Chinook helicopters. Counties are giving these supplies to the public at local distribution sites.

Our Aviation Team is running continuous missions to get supplies from @MSEMA to impacted counties as quickly and safely as possible.

We currently have recovery teams working in conjunction with @MississippiDOT to get Interstate 55 cleared, in the Batesville, MS area.

Winter Storm Fern Response Update:
We are currently conducting road clearance in Alcorn, Panola, & Lafayette counties.

Critical sustainment supplies such as water, cots, fuel, and Meals-Ready-To-Eat have been delivered to Lafayette, Alcorn & Lee counties.
