#TheArchers Thank you for warning us off, via the trailer for what is happening with George Grundy at the moment. We care about the fictional characters and are still traumatised by tragedies that beset cosy Ambridge at intervals (e.g. Nigel). Sad to lose our comfort listening!
BT: bad track record continues to be very bad for the environment. it's cut back its targets to lower emissions (i.e. damaging pollution):

We must share the planet with wildlife, not trash wildlife. That would be a very false economy. Human vs wildlife, including bats and newts, would be picking a fight with those who cannot defend themselves against development minus heart or thought. See

Potential future Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch just hinted that there might be MORE NHS privatisation if her party got back in power... The #NHS was created to be free, for all, at the point of use: and it should stay that way! Sign if you agree: https://t.co/fudi3l0K5L
I just signed this petition to stop a waterway project in the heart of the world’s largest tropical wetland. Join this fight to pressure the Brazilian government to protect this ecosystem before it's too late: https://t.co/RgziExRmpT
In danger spots on roads, make safe, but please save the other side and top of the hedge for wildlife! Everywhere else, we need thicker, richer hedges with flowers, seeds, nuts, berries, overwintering insects & pupae, mammal, reptile, amphibian & bird hideaways, to benefit all.
It’s that time of year again - tractors all over the land will take to flailing vital food sources in the form of berries along thousands of miles of hedgerows. PLEASE, if you are a landowner or know someone who is, wait until Feb/March & leave nature’s larder for #wildlife 🙏🍒

People of the Pacific need strong international climate action to survive – but COP29's host Azerbaijan is ramping up drilling for fossil fuels. We need strong climate commitments for all of us to survive. Demand more from the COP29 President:

@FlowerdewBob Good point. We are all people with thoughts and feelings, and should be respected and treated as such. But we also need to address the issue of who commits these homicides, and why.... I think mostly men? How can we prevent this from happening? Kindness by all, to all? Might help
@artgelling In which case, the Starmer @Labour government must reinstall those Blair/Brown sustainability measures straight away and undo the Cameron damage! (Please!)
Just listening to a discussion on house building. So far no one has mentioned that new properties need to be eco-friendly and wildlife friendly, as well as affordable, wherever they are. Sustainability may cost more, but if standard, saves money & benefits lives in the long-term.
We owe it to them: all our female ancestors who were denied that democratic right. Patriarchal forces still attempt to hold us back by pushing apathy, telling us that “politicians are all the same”. They’re not - and you have the right to choose, to vote from the heart, for our future, for all our children - and to make your voice and your vote count.
@dickfillary@ChrisGPackham@BBC@BBCNews@taylorswift13 I have heard the presenters talk about it on the show. They do their best on the show to minimise energy use, disturbance, etc, and it's a lot more worthwhile than a lot of other things that are filmed at huge expense.
And it goes a long way to explain just why activists have to shower stones with corn flour . . . that made the 'front page' (not that their message did) . The mainstream media must try harder - we are fighting to save the planet , they're chasing clickbait pop stars . . .
You know I love the @BBC & celebrate all the things we pay our licence fee for . But yesterday whilst 100K peaceful people marched to demonstrate their love for life all I could find on @BBCNews was a selfie of the gas-guzzling @taylorswift13 . Im sorry but thats a disgrace #RestoreNatureNow
@BBC I have read estimates of 60,000 and 80,000 people at the Restore Nature Now march, which is apparently the largest pro-nature march in the UK ever, but nevertheless, it was considered editorially preferable to ignore it.
