Wow.
NSW Forestry Corp has been caught inflating its logging numbers.
Just like the logging lobby has been inflating the cost of establishing the crucial Great Koala National Park.
Premier Minns - deliver the full Great Koala park. It's well overdue.

Threatened species Ecologist Maria Matthes will be visiting Narrabri 22 Feb to talk about the way our planning system is failing #koalas. Coal mines already wiped out the #koala in Leard Forest. Evidence of habitation now absent since 2017.@talkingkoala@naturensw@nswdphi

Read the open letter to the Minns Government signed by 31 environment groups calling for immediate action on the Great Koala National Park that we were promised: https://t.co/jStq36fpfB
It is past time for the Minns Government to stop the logging and fulfill their original promise to create a world class Great Koala National Park.
Yesterday rallies were held in Coffs Harbour and West Pennant Hills with this important message.
We need to fix nature restoration laws to protect and restore our rivers and wetlands.
"Dr Bell-James said that's because the existing laws were created to protect nature from excessive harm, not to improve nature."

“The evidence is clear: reduced river connectivity is contributing to fish kills and having severe impacts on ecosystem health and downstream communities." - Mel Gray, Water Campaigner, NCC
MEDIA RELEASE: Forestry Corporation NSW loses $29m of taxpayer funds, annual report reveals
Friday’s release of FCNSW’s annual report shows that the taxpayer is again propping up the destruction of our native forests, reporting $29 m loss in its native hardwood division.
“The NSW taxpayer is currently paying to destroy forest habitats and push species like the Koala and Greater Glider ever further towards extinction" - Steve Ryan, NCC Forests campaigner.
TAKE ACTION: Under the gov’s ‘No Meter, No Pump’ policy, pumps less than 100mm and 200mm don’t require metering.
Water pumped from many of our coastal catchments continues to go unchecked.

This tragic failure has been laid bare by a new research paper, “Murky waters running clearer? Monitoring, reporting and evaluation of the state of the Murray–DarlingBasin after more than three decades of policy reform,” published in the journal Marine and Freshwater Research.
