A Health System in Transformation

The 2026 Kenya Health Summit has provided a powerful platform to reflect on the transformation taking place across the country’s health secto from how healthcare is financed and delivered to how facilities are equipped, connected and supported.

The progress is visible: millions of Kenyans are now covered under SHA, health facilities are receiving better access to essential commodities and specialised equipment, digital systems are connecting care, and investments in healthcare workers are strengthening service delivery across the 47 counties.

But beyond the numbers is a bigger ambition to build a health system that reaches every Kenyan, responds to their needs and delivers quality care closer to where people live. This is the journey from reform to results, and the work continues.
