“The stated reason is, they say that it would violate California’s privacy laws to hand over personal identifying information of voters to the federal government. More than 200,000 Californians have had their ballots rejected since 2020. This is what happens when you don’t require voter ID. If a machine can identify your party registration, people have every right to question whether the process can be manipulated.
