@BillboardChris Can we even choose our beliefs? I would say we can't fully do that.
We can choose to question and explore them, which may or may not change them. Our beliefs can only genuinely change if we discover evidence indicating our previous beliefs are wrong.
@Wheelman_666@SonofOmahu@GerryBrownleeMP@NZStuff So zoom lenses and focal microphones would be fair game to record anything within range? Would you feel the same way if someone was recording you in your home, from the street?
@rosey_nz Kudos to @radionz for reporting on the story today, though I see they are at the same time calling Tommy Robinson "far right". Yes, he used to be, but these days RNZ appears to think you're far right if you simply see any value in retaining European culture at all.
A druggie arrested for good reason dies “supposedly’ at the hands of police & the MSM forced the world to grieve.
A young man who did no wrong is stabbed & police wrongly handcuff & arrest him as he dies & the MSM ignore it.
The difference - colour.
Who are the real racists?
Given that one of AI's biggest strengths is to sound like it knows what it's talking about even when it doesn't, it actually seems like a perfect fit to replace most of the management roles in the government, and most of the politicians too... #nzpol
@matt_horncastle Better to own the assets that are too important to allow to fail, like the port and airport. But they should sell the non essential ones, unless they're earning a decent % return.
Because the PSA union leadership are card carrying members of the Labour Party.
Why the media continue with this facade of the PSA having any independence or credibility is frankly astounding.
“In a free society, people can believe whatever they want. If you want to believe men can be women or you’re a man who wants to call himself a woman, that is your business. What you cannot do in a free society is force anyone else to accept it. What is at stake here is the ability to lawfully acknowledge reality.
If you care so much about “trans rights” you can work out a way to get them without destroying the category of women in law, female spaces, sport, services, the entire reality of lesbianism, and punishing citizens for acknowledging reality. The fact that you haven’t even tried makes it appear that destroying the rights of women is the goal.
Any politician who will look an Australian citizen in the eye and tell them that a man can be a woman is admitting that they will lie about anything and everything because the most obvious lie has already been told.
If no one in this room can acknowledge reality and fix an obvious problem you are either malicious or incompetent. The days of dismissing this issue are over. This is not a culture war. It’s reality.”
- my words, read by Alison Penfold MP, in parliament today.
Contact politicians are tell them to BACK THE BILL - “Sex Discrimination Amendment- sex based rights bill 2026”
@NZPatriot1840@NZMAGAMike It's a market. A crash can only happen if supply exceeds demand. I'm not seeing any evidence of that. Care to share your reasoning?
Kiefel is one of at least 30 detransitioners who have sued their healthcare providers over the past four years.
How many more women will have healthy breasts chopped off in order to affirm a delusion most will grow out of? Sadly, NZ's conversion therapy legislation pushes gender confused people, a high % of those who are homosexual or autistic, down a medicalised and surgical pathway.
When will this madness end!
@plainjane130632@SimonCourtACT Nobody is ever completely safe from overzealous bigots, drunk people, or people being nasty, no matter the location. Rules and laws don't make life perfect, but when used carefully they can reduce risk for the most vulnerable. Thanks for the discussion.
Men with a fetish are the problem, no matter what identity they claim. Transmen aren't typically an issue in men's spaces, as far as I'm aware. It needs to be acceptable for women to question anyone in their private spaces that seems like they shouldn't be there. Reasonable people should recognize the importance of that.
