[Brian Krassenstein @krassenstein]

Bryan Cranston hits the nail on the head regarding the "Make America Great Again" movement.

Just because white Americans think that the past was "great" doesn't mean it was to ALL Americans. Civil rights in this nation have been progressively moving forward, and although racial equality is nowhere near where it should be in America, we are certainly a lot better off than we were in generations past.

When many African Americans hear the slogan "Make America Great Again" it certainly doesn't exude hope of a brighter future. In fact it likely puts dread into their minds that we could revert back to the 1950's or even worse the 1860's.

So when people point to MAGA as being a racist dogwhistle, they certainly have an argument as to why it can at least appear that way to certain groups of Americans.

@RuthChristie10 @KimAtiWagner @TantorAudio Thank you @RuthChristie10! Such a well researched and powerful book indeed! As coincidence had it, I actually recorded A Passage To India just after, and thanks to @KimAtiWagner, I saw a much clearer picture of those times.

[Neil Shah @neilnarrates]

100 years ago a massacre happened in Amritsar, India. @KimAtiWagner expertly explores the deep contexts of those times from both British & Indian sides and how such a tragedy came to be in "Amritsar 1919" Fascinating read! Audio out today. @TantorAudio https://t.co/jxBwufqqwT

@TaliaKolluri Absolutely! A fun coincidence: the day after recording manticore, I recorded a YA book about tigers and what kids can do to help save them.  It turned out to be a wonderfully rewarding week narrating about wildlife awareness. 🙂

[Neil Shah @neilnarrates]

Thank you Talia and congratulations! I had a great time recording your creative and insightful stories!

[Talia Kolluri @TaliaKolluri]

MANTICORE's pub day is almost here! In addition to a beautiful paperback original, my stories will be available as an audiobook from @recordedbooks narrated by @virgozel1776 and @neilnarrates ! I am THRILLED to have these two amazing actors read my work ️❤️
