We slop-forked the Neon Console and you should too!
To prove how extensive Neons public APIs are, we rebuilt the Neon Console using our OpenAPI spec and TypeScript Admin SDK.
Nothing stops you from building your own database control plane on Neon.
The same APIs power integrations like Replit, Netlify DB, and many others. If functionality isn't available through APIs, CLIs, and MCP servers, it's increasingly invisible to agents and difficult to automate. That's why we're investing heavily in them.
Starting TODAY every Neon paid plan includes 500 GB of monthly data transfer. That's 5× more than before 📈
With this change, we expect most Neon customers will never have to pay for egress overages. Best of all, it applies automatically to all existing paid plans.
We're giving away 10 lifetime licenses to 𝐃𝐁𝐏𝐫𝐨, a beautifully designed desktop database GUI that integrates with Neon
Tell us what you're building in the replies and share this post for a chance to win!
Big news: Neon is expanding to offer a more complete set of backend primitives for running apps and agents:
✅ Database ✅ Authentication 🔜 Storage 🔜 Compute 🔜 AI Gateway
@neondatabase branches work really well in agentic development because they are so fast to create. This is because they use a technique called copy-on-write.
When you create a new branch, your data isn’t actually copied over. The child branch just points to the original data in the parent branch.
Data is only written to the new branch when you actually change something, like inserting new rows, modifying existing data, or updating the schema.
This keeps branches incredibly fast and lightweight.
