@JR1991C@NetworkRailGLC Hi JR, we're working with our colleagues @ScotRail who manage the low-level (P16 and P17) station to deal with the water ingress from the street above. Appreciate it's frustrating and can assure you we're working as a team to resolve this.
@ScotRail This is the bridge involved - the railway is underneath and following the vehicle strike, the parapet wall has shifted significantly.
This means we're unable to safely run trains underneath until it's been removed. We're aiming to do this by 22:00 tonight.
@ScotRail
📢 We've closed the line between Mauchline and New Cumnock on the Kilmarnock to Dumfries line.
Our engineers are on site inspecting damage to a bridge over the railway caused by a road vehicle. We'll share another update soon.
@ScotRail
@ScotRail We've examined the bridge and identified significant damage to the parapet, which we need to remove to make safe before we can reopen the railway.
Initial estimates are that it'll take us until at least 22:00 to do this, though we'll work as quickly as we can.

🚗 Use Bennochy Road in Kirkcaldy? Our 13-month project to rebuild the bridge over the railway next to Kirkcaldy Station has begun.
It's all part of our Fife Electrification project ⚡️
Here's a map for road users of the diversion around the closure.

We're trialling a new intelligent points heating system that uses real-time weather data to determine how much energy is needed.

⚠️ New CCTV footage shows young people trespassing on the railway in Inverness at South Kessock level crossing.
We urge everyone to respect the railway and never engage in dangerous behaviour like this. One risk can have life-changing consequences.
