Our research aims at obtaining knowledge and developing technologies within pain neuroscience, neurorehabilitation & robotics, and tele-rehabilitation.
After a few vibrant days at the neuroscience conference, we are eager to depart with a multitude of fresh concepts and valuable connections. #sfn2023#CNAP
Yousef Mohammadi is now explaining "CORTICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF LISTENING EFFORT" during his PhD defense. The committee is putting much effort into listening .
ARE YOU ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT BASIC HUMAN PAIN RESEARCH? COME AND JOIN OUR @CNAP_AAU

We resently published this paper showing very good agreement between PTT and CCM https://t.co/bUzplQf7lX , however, Gylfadottir et al. has just published this paper https://t.co/zLPaPhJKpA shwoing that CCM is not great for diagnosing DPN...
The latest #MEDON paper investigated the co-existence of diabetic peripheral neuropathy , and cardiac autonomic neuropathy (CAN) , and suggests that CAN predominantly co-exists with concomitant DPN.

This is a very interesting paper where Niimi et al investigates and models selective stimulation of cutaneous nerves. Well done!

New MEDON study. Resting-state connectivity changes of thalamus and the postcentral gyrus were related to the neuropathy phenotypes in individuals with type-1 diabetes.

Steffen Frahm and researchers from Nocions at UCL published a paper that investigates the use of cutaneous thermal stimulation, comparing laser stimuli with high-speed thermode stimuli, showing that comparable brain responses can be elicited.

The board of Scandinavian Association for the Study of Pain had a meeting in Copenhagen. Great plans for the future and especially for the next SASP congress in Helsinki in sping 2024! Follow SASP for more information.
Early career pain researcher? We have the springboard for you. For nearly two decades, E-G-G has supported early stage researchers in starting independent research projects. You can apply for the grant until 31 January! Find out more here: https://t.co/pMjDijG1lZ
Ahmad Rujoie has just got a manuscript accepted in the J. Neural Engineering presenting a new laser stimulation system that allows a displaceable cutaneous stimulation with closed-loop control of stimulus intensity to ensure uniform skin temperature.

There are still few seats available for the CPH SASP meeting and for the post-graduate course. 40 abstracts have been approved for presentation.

Our colleague Carsten Dahl Mørch visited Folkeuniversitetets podcast, Athene. You can find the conversation on pain between Carsten and the students here (in Danish) https://t.co/BsWTjRj0mL Together with other interesting podcasts.
Sixteen PhD fellowships in neuroscience are available to younger scientists holding degrees in a range of neuro-related disciplines, including biology, chemistry, medicine, pharmacology, genetics, and psychiatry. Just to mention a few. https://t.co/HkPqh7Bihp
Recently, postdoc Lieve Filbrich from NOCIONS at UCL, Bruxelles visited . We studied how visual stimulation can facilitate the nociceptive withdrawal reflex. The findings will be presented at IASP conference later in 2022. #IASP2022
