Safety tips to remember around striping crews:
- Reduce speed to improve reaction time & ensure worker safety
- Stay back & drive far behind striping trucks to avoid wet paint
- Do not pass striping vehicles or recently striped markings unless directed by signage or a flagger
Watch for the newly installed daytime headlight signs on some rural two-lane highways across Nevada in preparation for an updated traffic law taking effect in 2028.

The NDOT Freeway Service Patrol, sponsored by @GEICO, is spreading a lifesaving message: heatstroke can happen faster, and at lower temperatures, than you think. While summertime is peak season, vehicular heatstroke can occur in outside temperatures as low as 60°.
Through April 30 more than 100 lives have been lost on Nevada roads due to unsafe driving.
Remember:
- Wear a seat belt every trip, every time
- Slow down and avoid excessive speeds
- Never drive distracted
- Stay sober and drug-free every time when behind the wheel
