Yesterday, we welcomed our admitted students for an evening at the Red Sox game. We enjoyed getting to know our future students while sharing in one of Boston's favorite summer traditions.
Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free.
Today, we honor the end of slavery in the United States and celebrate Black freedom, resilience, achievement, and culture.

New England Law Boston Visiting Professor of Practice Francis C. Morrissey was recently appointed to serve on the Uniform Law Commission by Massachusetts Governor Maura T. Healey. He was sworn in by Jonathan Torcia, Senior Deputy Director of Boards and Commissions for the Office of the Governor. Professor Morrissey was grateful to his New England Law colleague and friend, Visiting Professor of Practice Gary Monserud, for his support throughout the process.

Denise J. Casper, Chief Judge, U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, will serve as the keynote speaker at New England Law Boston's 115th Commencement on May 15 at the Boch Center Wang Theater.
Throughout her career, her contributions to the bench and legal community exemplify a sustained commitment to professionalism, service, and the advancement of justice.
Judge Casper will offer valuable insights to inspire our graduating class as they take the next step in their legal career journeys.

Due to the severity of the weather conditions and the impact across surrounding districts, New England Law will be closed tomorrow, February 24, 2026.
All buildings, including the library, will be closed. Professors will communicate directly with students regarding rescheduled class dates.
Due to the major storm approaching, and with the safety of our community members in mind, New England Law will be shifting to remote learning tomorrow, February 23, 2026.
While all buildings including the library will be closed, staff will be working remotely and available via email and phone during normal business hours.
This Black History Month we proudly remember Blanche Braxton ‘21, Portia Law Graduate (now New England Law | Boston), who in 1923 became the first African-American woman admitted to the Massachusetts Bar. Ten years later, she further made history as the first African-American woman to practice in the U.S. District Court in Massachusetts.
This Valentine’s Day we are celebrating a New England Law | Boston love story!
Joseph Flynn ’15 and Jaclyn Landers ’14 first met in a lecture hall at New England Law | Boston, where shared classes and long hours of studying sparked a lasting connection. Years later, Joe returned to Room 304, the place where it all began, to propose with the support of the New England Law community.
Today, they are happily married with four beautiful children and building their life together in Holden. From classmates to forever, proof that love can start anywhere, even in Torts.
