My first endorsement in my 2019 Assembly race was @newkingsdems, who were waging a fight against the BK machine. They started this movement 18 years ago. Today, the @BklynCantWait coalition is ready to organize and finally fix the @bkdems.🙌🏽

These new District Leaders join a broad coalition of elected allies and grassroots advocates, from Greenpoint to Coney Island, who have fought for years to build a better party in BK.
Brooklyn Can’t Wait for a Democratic Party that meets the moment, and today the wait is over.

In AD 43, @AkelNyc and Nikki Evans won with endorsements from allies like @zellnor4ny, @agounardes, and @crystalforbk. They won despite desperate attempts by the party to kick them off the ballot; now they’ll help lead that party to deliver on childcare, jobs, and housing.

This article is nearly ten years old. It describes how the @bkdems ran the party. I joined county committee about ten years ago and this was my first meeting. Last night, reformers finally took the majority of 22 out of 42 district leader seats. Winning against power takes patience and determination. Thank you @newkingsdems@BKYoungDems@LIDbrooklyn@BklynCantWait

Brooklyn Can't Wait reform coalition candidates are uncontested or winning in 22/42 seats
a seismic election
It appears that @newkingsdems has won 8 of its 9 contested district leader races!! (Seddio’s opponent lost and the female DL race in Bed Stuy is too close to call)
Also my homie Monique Chandler-Waterman beat councilmember Narcisse in AD 58.
Rodneyse Bichotte is in real trouble
