The way she's completely right, she lost radio and therefore all her commercial success because it she no longer has access to her audience. Other example of ppl who were dependent on radio for commercial viability

I don't know, but somehow I feel that the pop stars of the 2000s are built differently, with different materials and an aura that is not present in today's pop stars.
People have to realize the music industry is fickle. When Beyoncé gets on stage and is thankful that people still come out to support her 3 decades later, she really means it. It’s not a guarantee that once you have hits that you will be successful for life.
I actually can answer this: the industry changed so much in the last 3 yrs. streaming replaced radio & I was a radio darling. That’s how my fans discovered my music. Not to mention the very obvious & public attack on my career changed things.
But I’m out here doing my absolute best and u can’t knock a bitch for that 🫶🏾
