The club is delighted to welcome Robbie Turley to the coaching team as our new Strength & Conditioning Coach.

Robbie returns to the club after previously playing for us, having progressed through our Mini, Junior and Youth sections before representing the senior side. After taking time away from the game as a player, Robbie has gained a wealth of experience in strength and conditioning, working with several of our current squad members as well as athletes from outside the club.

Director of Rugby Dafydd Lloyd expressed his enthusiasm at bringing Robbie into the coaching setup. Having seen first-hand the work Robbie has carried out with players away from the club, Dafydd believes he will be a valuable addition to the coaching group.
He also highlighted Robbie's understanding of the club and its expectations, having come through the playing ranks himself.

🔵⚫NEW COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT⚫🔵
Newbridge RFC is delighted to announce Gareth Young as the club’s new Forwards Coach ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Gareth needs little introduction to us at Newbridge and brings a wealth of playing experience, along with a passion and knowledge of the club after spending the last 9 seasons and almost 150 games at the cornerstone of our pack. Gareth now begins to look ahead as he begins to transition from player to coach and will play a key role in maintaining and driving forward standards and developing our pack for the season ahead.
We’re excited to continue to have Gareth as a part of our team and look forward to seeing his impact both on and off the field at The Welfare.

It's deffo a perfect weekend weather forecast,😎☀️ so just a little reminder from us that the main clubhouse bar and The Pig & Whistle Bar and Terrace will both be open from 12 midday tomorrow. It would be great to see you. Newbridge 🏏 2nd XI are on the Welfare tomorrow and the main bar will also be showing Cardiff's URC Quarter Final game which kicks off at 2.30pm.

Everyone at Newbridge RFC would like to place on record our huge and sincere thanks to Paul “Dire” Edwards as he steps down from his role as Forwards Coach after 5 seasons with the club.

Dire has played a huge part in the club both on and off the field, bringing passion, commitment and experience to the role throughout his time with the senior squad. His hard work, dedication and influence on the pack have been greatly appreciated by players, coaches and supporters alike.

We would like to place on record our thanks to Dire for everything he has given to the club over the past five years and wish him all the very best for the future. Once a Pig, always a Pig!

Last but definitely not least, today we say "Bon Voyage" to @⁨Jakob Duffy⁩ who takes to the field in blue & black for the final time before he and his family move to Australia. Jake has been a huge part of the club and the environment we have here at Newbridge and we are all sad to see him say his goodbyes😢 Today we send our heartfelt best wishes to Jake and his family as they look ahead to their new adventure.

Another congratulations goes out to our very own Cian Jones who starts out on his wing today and joins the team for his 100th senior appearance for the Club. Cian will be among the list of youngest players to have achieved this milestone for the Club and has played for us since mini's so we've seen him around the Club for a long time.
