What even are genres. Not something I know how to stick to consistently lol. If you like variety and eclecticness in music, then I might be the artist for you.
@ProdJialaJi It's a bit more grey if your main hook is a loop. Probably depends on what is built around it - if there's few/no other loops (and the song is good) I'd say it's fine, but otherwise it just seems like you're hoping the loop is strong enough to carry the song. Very lazy imo
@ProdJialaJi Eh, I'd say it depends on how many loops and how they're being used. Whole song is loops? Yes, cheating (unless you made them yourself ofc). A loop used just for top percussion, or to fill out background? Less so. Like getting a session drummer because you don't know drums
A new song at last! It's been a minute haha. This one is called Howl to the Earth. It's about rebirth, and rising up after adversity. Yes, I'm trying to get back on the motivation train after burnout. Working on it

@Sylvia_wlalo@Imsuki_P@MonochroMenace It definitely can be helpful. I find it most useful for songs with lots of instruments. If there's an off note, I can just look down the page and see all the notes at once, so it's easy to find. In the DAW I've got to open each track or mute/unmute 1 by 1 to check...
