"In donating to the Party, we contribute to our organisation whose structures, programmes, and activities require resources. Through our generous gifts, we strengthen the Party's capacity to discharge its mandate and most immediately, support the successful hosting of this year's 23rd National People's Conference.
Comrades;
The forthcoming ZANU PF National People's Conference is a platform at which we reflect on our development priorities, consider challenges facing our country and formulate appropriate responses, for the Zimbabwe we all want.
The theme of the Conference, "From Resolutions to Results: Consolidating Economic Development and Deepening Empowerment towards Vision 2030," reminds us that the true value of our deliberations and decisions should be measurable, transformative and
impactful," H.E President Mnangagwa
In his remarks, ZANU PF Treasurer General and Chairman of the Finance and Investments Standing Committee of the Central Committee Cde Patrick Chinamasa said the inaugural President's Ball is the first event of its kind and marks the beginning of a new tradition of partnership between ZANU PF and the business sector.
He added that the Ball serves to mobilise resources ahead of the 23rd National People's Conference. Under the leadership of H.E. President Mnangagwa, capital feels very safe, and tonight's Ball had been oversubscribed. Further , Cde Chinamasa said for the economy to grow, it must be underpinned by unity, peace, continuity and stability, and for the economy to grow further, it must have capital.
This evening, His Excellency the President and First Secretary of the ruling Party, ZANU PF, is attending the inaugural President's Ball at the Hippodrome in Braeside, Harare.
The ruling party is hosting the event in an effort to raise US$6 million ahead of the Conference to be held from 12-17 October in Chinhoyi, Mashonaland West Province.
The President's ball brings together individuals, the business community and other stakeholders to support preparations for the Party's 23rd National People's Conference.
