@BeyondTheHalo Unpopular but where’s the lie? Arte didn’t do an all pitcher draft and underslot with the highest pick the Angels have had in 30 years. Nor does think past their prime players and former failed top prospects are the answer. The excuses some people give to Perry have run out.
@angelsnuffy I would say watch Jack go elsewhere and succeed but I don’t see it happening. None of his pitches blow you away, he can’t find the strike zone and when he does hitters crush his pitches. Just goes to show you how piss poor the Angels drafting has been under Eppler and now Perry.
@AngelsFaithful Plus Arte bought the team for just 180 million. Team is now worth almost 3 billion. There could be literally no fans in the seats and it wouldn’t hurt Arte. Not defending him it’s just basic economics.
@Cvpitalzz@BeyondTheHalo Dipoto for sure but Seattle’s ownership doesn’t operate much different than Arte. There’s a reason they once had a 20 year playoff drought. Good GM’S still manage to build a solid team even with a budget or ownership butting in. Perry though has gotten worse each year.
@Cvpitalzz@BeyondTheHalo The amount of excuses ya’ll continue to give Perry is laughable. At least 70% of teams in the league would’ve already fired him by now.
@angelsnuffy Right exactly. After Schanuel thank god there really wasn’t anyone noteworthy they passed on in the first round. But Perry’s drafting is arguably the number 1 reason why this will more than likely be his last season here.
@BeyondTheHalo I’d rather fire him before the draft so he doesn’t get another opportunity to draft the ones that can get to MLB ASAP instead of the absolute best player
@angelsnuffy Not defending Arte but I think even Pujols knows a lot of the Angels problems primarily front office decisions land on Perry as much if not more than they do on Arte. I don’t blame him for taking a step back at least for now.
@BeyondTheHalo Win or lose at least the Ducks have a competent GM and steady ownership. The Perry Minasian has been relieved of his duties as Angels GM tweet from Jeff Passan can’t come soon enough.
