Nearly every day, people released from the Santa Fe jail walk miles along a highway to get home.
Local leaders have known for 20+ years that it's dangerous but have done almost nothing about it.
We've uncovered just how deadly the consequences have been. https://t.co/VDp4N3CrYt

Jordan Salinas almost never left home without his pistol for the last five years. His dad thought it was a bit ridiculous.
Then a gunman went on a rampage at an In-N-Out in Idaho, and Jordan became a town hero.

@Greazybean I should add, since this part is getting some attention, that Mr. James described it this way: "for an unknown reason there was not a round in the chamber." So I'm not sure this was how he regularly carried -- this might have been a unique instance.

NEW: Bryan Kohberger is seeking to reopen the Idaho murders case, saying his guilty plea last year was based on “false promises and blatant disinformation.” He phoned me from prison, saying he was innocent but declining to discuss the evidence against him. https://t.co/1Gzh7MypnH
Bryan Kohberger professes "innocence" from prison and files to take back his guilty plea in the murder of four Idaho students.
That's despite telling a judge "yes" when asked if he was guilty a year ago —and his DNA at the scene.
