The NDC had accused INEC of replacing its candidates with “impostors.” But INEC says it has no power to nominate or choose candidates for political parties.

The Rivers NLC is asking Governor Siminalayi Fubara to review the sack of local government workers affected by the verification exercise.

NLC Chairman Alex Agwanwor says the workers should be allowed to present documents to prove their employment.

The NLC has appealed to Rivers teachers to suspend Wednesday’s planned protest over ₦2,000 monthly salary deductions linked to the NUT’s Endwell Cooperative Scheme.
