INEC has denied changing the candidates nominated by the NDC for the 2027 Anambra State House of Assembly elections.
The NDC had accused INEC of replacing its candidates with “impostors.” But INEC says it has no power to nominate or choose candidates for political parties.
Former Bayelsa Governor Timipre Sylva has resigned from the APC, citing the loss of the party’s original ideals.
The EFCC had declared Sylva wanted over an alleged $14.8M dishonest conversion case. He was also named in an alleged plot to overthrow President Tinubu’s government.
