Over 100 environmental leaders have signed an open letter denouncing Chevron’s support for Karen Bass and condemning Big Oil’s attempt to influence Los Angeles elections.
It’s no surprise that one of the biggest polluters in LA County is supporting my opponent. Every local environmental organization has endorsed my campaign. As mayor, I’ll focus on climate resilience and emergency preparedness, expand park space, plant 100,000 trees before the Olympics, ban oil drilling within City limits, reduce dependence on imported water, and improve air quality.

NEW: Chevron just gave $50,000 to support LA Mayor Karen Bass — and defeat Nithya Raman.
"They view Karen Bass as someone who they can work with, someone who will protect their interests in L.A. And they view Nithya Raman as a threat to fossil fuels." https://t.co/HaPvz7oVwg
Mayor Bass has no answers for her failed record, so she resorts to baseless, personal attacks.
Angelenos deserve a mayor who spends more time fixing problems than trying to change the subject.
In a city of 3.9 million people, you shouldn’t need the mayor’s cell phone number to get help.
Did the residents of Boyle Heights have your number, Karen?
I have been stepping in for Nithya Raman failing to handle her constituents' concerns. She doesn't show up for her district, and she wouldn't show up for LA as mayor.
It took three years and tens of thousands of Hollywood jobs lost before the mayor hired a (part time) film czar.
When I’m mayor, I’ll fight to bring these jobs back.

It’s not just 15,000 people that have been deported from Southern California – it’s 15,000 families that have been separated, livelihoods that have been destroyed, futures that have been put on hold.
The Trump administration’s kidnappings in our neighborhoods are unacceptable, and this abuse of power has to end.
Newly released immigration enforcement data from ICE shows a surge in deportations in California since the beginning of President Trump's second term. Nearly 15,000 people were arrested and deported between January 2025 and August 2026. https://t.co/gOFOTbmca0
Parents are leaving home afraid they won’t make it back to their children. No one should fear being taken from the street on their way to work, school, or the grocery store.
Immigrants in Los Angeles, particularly in the Valley, have borne the brunt of this. We will not stand by while this administration tears families apart and terrorizes our city.
An important reminder for those in the Palisades (and Altadena):
There are three months remaining in the statute-of-limitations for insurance claims.
Even if your house survived, you should get it tested. If toxins are found, California law requires your insurance company to pay for remediation.
This is a bizarre lie.
I will NOT be hiring George Gascón as Police Chief, which I told California Post prior to them publishing the story.
This rumor was created by the Police Union Super PAC, which is spending millions of dollars to re-elect Mayor Bass.
The President is once again daring a foreign power to fire missiles at Los Angeles. This is dangerous, reckless, and an appalling abuse of the office he holds.
Four million people live in Los Angeles. They are our families, workers, veterans, and first responders. We will not let Donald Trump turn our safety into a prop for his political theater.
President Trump on Iran: "Let them hit a missile into San Diego or Los Angeles...You want to see a horror show? You want see problems? Let them hit San Diego...You want to see a country in freefall. We're not gonna let that happen. We protect our cities."
Today marks three years since Hamas’ horrific attacks on October 7, 2023. We remember those who were murdered, those who were taken hostage and the families whose lives were forever changed.
The years since have brought enormous pain, loss and suffering touching so many across Los Angeles and across the world.
The pain of October 7 will not disappear with time. Neither should our determination to build a Los Angeles where grief does not harden into hatred and where our differences never diminish our obligation to one another.
As mayor, I will be unconditionally committed to protecting Jews, Muslims and every community in this city and defending the right of all Angelenos to live and worship safely.
