A landmark win for fans! 👏 The @CouncilofDC unanimously passed the RESALE Act — capping resale prices, banning speculative ticket sales, requiring price transparency, and strengthening consumer protections.

It’s a unanimous vote for the RESALE Act! Without a doubt, this is the most pro-fan, pro-consumer law in the country. The resale system has been rigged against our residents, our artists, & our venues. Everyone has been getting ripped off & that changes with today’s vote!

A jury found @LiveNation and @Ticketmaster liable for operating illegal monopolies.

Yet the DOJ’s proposed settlement would leave Live Nation’s monopoly largely intact — keeping Ticketmaster, artist management, festivals, clubs and theaters, and control over national tours.

That is not meaningful accountability — and it is not enough for fans, artists, independent venues, promoters or festivals.

Before approval, a federal judge must decide if the deal serves the public interest. Now you can weigh in.
