Today on #NationalIndigenousPeoplesDay, Winemaker and proud member of the Osoyoos Indian Band, Justin Hall, reflects on the need for this day to be a continuation (or start) of your journey in understanding the past, present, and future of Indigenous People, their culture & land
The discovery of 215 Indigenous children’s remains at a former residential school in Kamloops has left us heartbroken. We owe it to our Indigenous friends and future generations to learn about and acknowledge the past and work toward meaningful reconciliation. #215children
"It is the hands of the Osoyoos Indian Band that nurture the vines, mind the grapes and create these wines." Thanks Beth Campbell (IG: global_travel_wine_girl) for putting this so eloquently.
Icewine is a dessert wine produced from grapes that have been frozen while still on the vine. Our 2018 Nk'Mip Qwam Qwmt Riesling Icewine was harvested at -13°C to develop harmonious flavours of honey, sweet citrus and apricot.
Wines in the Qwam Qwmt tier of Nk’Mip are produced in limited quantities and sourced from the finest grapes grown on the 40 year old Inkameep Vineyard.
How are you settling into this new decade? With a glass of Nk’Mip, we hope. Our Merlot has aromas and flavours of black cherry, blueberry, dark plum and spice. It's the perfect red for those cold winter evenings.
The crunchy leaves and wintery air make way for beautiful fresh growth in the spring. The off-season is the perfect time to reflect on the possibilities to come!
“Enjoying a glass of red and white wine from Nk’Mip Cellars! Dreamcatcher and Talon. Cheers to a never ending summer!” Cheers to you, @mag_mei. Thank you for joining us.
Though the harvest is coming to a close and the winery is slowing down, the fall sunsets remind us that the changing of the seasons is simply a magical sight 🍂✨📸 Alisha Rae
