Police are investigating a house robbery at the Pretoria
home of former International Relations Minister and Nelson Mandela University Chancellor Naledi Pandor.
The incident took place at Pandor’s home in Villeria last night.
Three armed suspects forced entry into the property at approximately 9pm.
The suspects reportedly confronted Dr Pandor in her bedroom, while another suspect held her husband in the bathroom as the house was searched and ransacked.
Several items were stolen during the robbery, including televisions, a laptop, mobile phones, and the family’s Toyota Cross vehicle.
The suspects fled the scene in the stolen vehicle, which was later recovered in Mamelodi East.
No injuries were reported.
Police investigations into the robbery are continuing.
Congratulations to @tumisole who has just been named the MMC for Public Safety in the incoming Mayor’s cabinet. He will continue his #CountryDuty with the good mayor @HermanMashaba.
