@ajk1Solo @qatarairways They replied to my messages on Facebook messenger twice last week. It took maybe 24 hours to get a response but they did respond. I cancelled my flight 7 days in advance as I bought an alternative. Received full refund already.

@sarveshpat24321 @qatarairways opinion: Its possible but I doubt it. They will likely offer you to reschedule or take a full refund in the next 24-48 hours. Maybe check the app to see if they are still charging you a cancellation fee when you try to cancel? May be removed already because you are within 7 days.

@raj8141thu44628 @qatarairways Highly unlikely this will operate as scheduled. Qatar Airways have offered to reschedule your flight until a later date or give you a full refund which take 28 days to reach your account. Not good options, I know. But perhaps time to make a difficult decisions. Good luck 🙏

@mariaba692 @qatarairways Unfortunately, I think they will only offer full refund when you are within 7 days of departure. The refund cancellation amount on the QA app changed when it hit 7 days to my departure date. At this point they removed the cancellation fee and showed full refund amount. Sorry 😢

@AminatAdebayoS1 @Mkl898 @qatarairways Short story: When you request cancellation and refund through the app, they confirm the full amount you will receive but it can take up to 28 days to receive this money back in your account. This is exactly what it says on my confirmation email from Qatar Airways

@AminatAdebayoS1 @Mkl898 @qatarairways Unfortunately, they say 6 working days after you request to validate the refund and 28 days to send to your account. So you will not receive straight away 😢 If you ask for QA flight voucher, they will issue within 7 days but I don’t think you will want this.

@kidrahul0043 @qatarairways If you fly within next 7 days, there should be full refund amount showing on the QA app for your booking. Click payment summary and you can see if the cancellation fee still applies or not. The amount for my refund changed to full refund 7 days before my scheduled flight.

@RosaVegas12923 @qatarairways Also, I took refund because even with rebooking, there is no guarantee the flights through Middle East will be operating as normal next week or even the rest of month. Just my opinion :)

@RosaVegas12923 @qatarairways If you are unable to rebook soon, I would consider taking the refund. If you check your app and click cancel (without confirming an actual cancellation) you can see the refund amount and it should have no cancellation fee because you fly within 7 days. FYI my flight was also 9th

@Mkl898 @qatarairways Don’t go through with the refund until the cancellation fee is removed on your QA app. I think this only happens within 7 days of departure as this is when my refund amount changed on the app and I got a full refund 👍

@qatarairways Also, QA replied to me on Facebook messenger but it did take more than 24 hours to receive this reply. They ask if I would like to change flight or receive refund without any cancellation fee. So I can confirm they are processing refunds at least for flights within next 7 days.

@qatarairways When I check Manage Flight on the app today, I now see the cancellation fee is gone when I try to click “cancel flight”. So QA will now give full refund. My flight is within next 7 days which i think is why they remove the cancellation fee which was previously displaying.

@citra83552 @qatarairways Qatar Airways replied to my message on Facebook but it took long time to respond. My flight is within 7 days and I see now they removed the cancellation fee so I was able to cancel and receive full refund. I hope the same for you 🙏

@citra83552 @qatarairways You can check Manage Flight in the app. Then choose cancel flight. But before clicking cancel, you can see the fee summary which will tell you the amount - there should be no cancellation fee if your flight is tomorrow.
