We are grateful for the stories Frank preserved, the community he championed, and the legacy he leaves behind.
Rest well, Frank. Your stories remain. 4/4
Some people document history. Some people become part of it.
We are saddened by the passing of Frank Perez…a writer, historian, educator, advocate, and unmistakable champion of New Orleans’ LGBTQ+ community. 1/4
In Frank’s own words, it was his pleasure “to not only preserve and document that history, but also to be a small part of it.”
He was more than a keeper of New Orleans stories. He was one of them. 3/4
Frank dedicated much of his life to making sure our city’s queer history was not lost.
He wrote books and hundreds of articles on #NewOrleans#LGBTQ+ history, co-founded the LGBT+ Archives Project of #Louisiana and created the Rainbow Fleur de Lis Walking Tour. 2/4
Thank you to everyone who has already purchased a pass, attended an event or supported NOFS. Together, we’re creating brighter futures on screen and throughout our community.
