Grand River Conservation Authority upgraded their Flood Warning to Zone 3 in Ayr. The Nith River is running fast and has spilled over its banks. Exercise extreme caution near all local waterways & keep back from flooded areas. Tannery Streer remains closed as it's under water.
The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) advised the Township earlier this morning that they have updated the Flood Warning to Zone 3, specific to the Nith River in Ayr. Tannery Street remains closed.

Flood waters continue to rise along the Nith River throughout the Township. In low-lying areas, the river has now overtopped its banks.
Flood waters are crossing Tannery Street in downtown Ayr, which is now closed to vehicular traffic.

The Grand River Conservation Authority has issued a Flood Warning for the watershed. Specific to North Dumfries and the Community of Ayr, the GRCA has issued a combined Flood Warning for Zone 1 and a Flood Watch for Zone 2. This advisory is specific to the Nith River.
Northumberland Street between Stanley and Gibson Streets remains CLOSED. Crews are attending the site to clean up the road and remove ice build-up. No time estimation at this time for re-opening.
