We're currently (May 3) at the scene of a fire at a derelict building in Mill Lane, Kingsthorpe, Northampton.
Local residents are advised to keep doors and windows closed while we respond.
On arrival crews found the commercial building involved in fire and a number of appliances, including an aerial platform attended the scene.
The fire has now been put out and the road re-opened.

Bridge Street in Northampton town centre has re-opened, following a fire at a business earlier this evening (May1).
Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire at a property in Bridge Street at around 7.40pm.
Police officers have closed Bridge Street between the junctions with Gold Street and the junction with Kingswell Street.
Members of the public are urged to avoid Bridge Street for the remainder of this evening while emergency services continue to respond to the incident.

At the height of the fire, 4 crews & 2 water bowsers were in attendance and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose-reel jets, an ultra-high-pressure lance to contain the fire.
An investigation into the cause of the fire will take place when it is safe to do so.

One crew and a water bowser remain on scene at a fire on Poplars Farm Road in Barton Seagrave, Kettering. We were called shortly after 10pm last night (January 18) to reports of a barn on fire.

The smoke plume has reduced & it's now a quantity of wood that's burning, which is expected to continue for some time. If still affected by smoke, nearby residents are advised to continue to keep windows & doors shut but are safe to go about their normal day.
